Terms of Service

Two documents, one studio

The shop and memberships are run through Fourthwall and are governed by the shop's own Terms of Service and Returns & FAQ. Nothing here changes those: how you buy, pay, return or cancel a subscription is theirs to define.

This document covers what this site adds: a free account, Sparks and Prisms, Steam key delivery, tutoring bookings, leaderboards and in-game items. Where the two overlap, the shop's terms win for anything you paid Fourthwall for, and these terms apply to what happens on your Veras Studios account afterwards.

The deal

Veras Studios provides free browser games, an optional account, and tutoring sessions, and credits your account for things you buy in the shop. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old, the same line the shop draws.

Sparks and Prisms

• Sparks are earned by playing and by in-game events. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and may be adjusted or reset if the economy needs it. Earning is capped per day.
• Prisms are credited for paid membership months, for Prism products bought in the shop, and in limited amounts for in-game events available to members. They can be spent on Steam keys, tutoring sessions and in-game items. They are not money, are not refundable for cash, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are forfeited if an account is deleted or banned.
• Prices in Sparks and Prisms may change. A price change never affects something you already bought.

Steam keys

A key redeemed with Prisms or bought in the shop is yours once it appears on your account. One key per game per account. If we are out of keys when you buy, your order is recorded and the key is delivered automatically as soon as stock arrives. Keys are subject to Steam's own terms.

Memberships and the shop

Memberships and physical or digital products are sold through Fourthwall under the shop's Terms and Returns & FAQ, including cancellation and refund rules. What this site adds: we credit Prisms and keys to the Veras Studios account whose email matches the order, so use the same email on both. A refund issued by the shop for a Prism product or a key does not automatically remove the Prisms or key from your account; we may do so by hand, and will tell you if we do.

Tutoring

A booking costs the number of Prisms shown when you book. You may cancel from your account page: cancelling at least 24 hours before the start refunds the Prisms in full; later than that, the Prisms are kept. If we have to cancel, you are refunded.

Fair play

Do not modify games or automate play to earn rewards, run many accounts to farm rewards, or interfere with the service. The site detects one device being used across several accounts and pauses rewards on those accounts while we look. We may pause rewards on, or ban, any account we reasonably believe is breaking these rules. Bans forfeit unspent Sparks and Prisms.

Your content

Your display name and leaderboard scores are public. Keep names decent; we may change a name that is offensive or impersonates someone.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your account page; everything about you is erased as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close the service or an account for the reasons above, with notice where practical.

Liability

The site and games are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Veras Studiosis not liable for indirect losses, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid through the shop in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
